The Role – Customer Development Manager

We now have an exciting new role for an outstanding Customer Development Manager. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll develop and grow relationships with the Zoo’s audiences through driving added value income streams.

We’re looking for someone who can:

• Develop the positioning and marketing plan for added value income streams
• Develop the positioning and branding for new products and experiences
• Work collaboratively with the marketing and commercial teams to implement plans in these areas, continually reviewing and improving the customer journey across all channels
• Develop and manage CRM programmes to acquire, grow and retain customers
• Manage relationships with travel trade partners, agents and others third parties to develop new products, maximise admissions revenue and build profile nationally and internationally
• Provide insight into audience groups and products to ensure products are competitive and the end-to-end customer experience is continually improved
• Manage budget and reporting for these areas of responsibility

The Package

• Permanent contract, 40 hours per week
• Option for some home working
• A salary of £47,359.75 per annum
• 33 days annual leave including bank holidays

Our Requirements – Customer Development Manager

• A relevant degree or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Experience in developing product positioning and cross channel marketing plans in the B2C space, preferably in visitor attractions or events
• Strong experience in developing CRM plans across planned and reactive communications
• Experience in developing and managing stakeholder relationships
• Experience of leading, developing and managing a team to achieve / exceed performance targets
• Experience in planning and delivering against sets of KPIs, producing regular reports and recommendations
• Experience of managing budgets and associated analysis and reporting
• An understanding of, and commitment to, the mission of Chester Zoo
